Reflecting on day 5 at #BYC2017 w/ Daniello Gauna

Every day, I browse out to capture the highlights and take-aways of some of our BYC yogis.

On the last day I talked with Daniello Gauna, social worker and gardening McGyver in the Netherlands.

Daniello, how was today at BYC?

My day was beyond beautiful!

Wow! Can you share something beautiful and something that was challenging for you today?

Beautiful were all the people I worked with, so that’s you, Cosima, today in David Lutt’s Osteothai workshop.

The challenging thing was to choose for myself and not run away from what I need to do – which is to practice massage. I tried to run away, but then I didn’t, which was great. Really great [with a huge smile all over Daniello’s face].

And what will you take with you from today?

Today I gave my Lahu pants away. Beautiful pants I got in the Lahu village in Thailand, where I studied Thai Massage. The one that I wanted to keep. I thought I’d never give it away, because they were my favorite. But I gave them away.

So what I take home, or what I learned in this practice today is: we often say we want to give something, or pass something on. But we don’t give our best away. So today I gave away the best I could give. And I got to do that more often, that’s the thing

Daniello, thank you so much for sharing, for being here and for helping so much always! See you soon, somewhere in the world.

Some of you might have met Daniello – then you know what a special soul he is. There is nowhere to book massages or courses with him as of today, but once there is, I will make sure to share!
