A blessed four hours of Osteo Thai with David Lutt today was a wonderful way to finish these days of intense festivities. David is a calm and gentle, heart warming and inspiring teacher. He started with soft chanting of Goddes’s name, a necessary bhakti begining to be able to touch each other from a place of higher love.
Today we learned new ways of touching the spinal column, a place in the body where I always feel perplexed during my Thai massage sessions. David showed us that it is OK to give spine pressure as long as it is with full and aware touch and guided us in many different manipulations with hands that make the receivers soften and deeply relax. We also had an opportunity to discover ways “to compact” the spine, make it shorter and then move into it, something that is seems counter-intuitive and doesn’t look appealing until you actually try it. We finished with quite complicated to learn but a total feel-good touch for the neck.
At the end of the session my partner and I felt great, deeply relaxed and hungry. Thanks to David and all his wonderful assistants that helped us integrate the movements into our hands we have more ways to touch, to heal, to love.
