The 4th Barcelona Yoga Conference will be a great celebration and I am so excited to participate for the first time this year. Moreover, I am very proud to join the BYC Inspiration Blogger Team and share my pleasant anticipation with you.
BYC means five days packed with more than “just” Yoga: Besides Yoga classes in over 20 different styles, there will be many artists inviting everyone to join their music and dance acts. And here’s the best news: A huge free activities program is a special gift for people who can’t afford to pay a ticket or for partners and friends of the attendees who would also like to take a glance on what’s happening during the gathering.
Workshops, AcroYoga and Kirtans
From Friday to Sunday, there will be free morning Yoga classes, exciting experiments like Blindfold Yoga and FeetUp Yoga, specials like “Wheelchair Yoga” or workshops on Raw Food. The so called AcroYoga Airport is also open to everyone who would like to take off.
Throughout the days, you will hear the sound of Kirtans when strolling around the venue. More than ten Kirtan artists will captivate you with their spiritual music and chanted hymns. A highlight will definitively be the Kirtan performance of Jai Uttal on Saturday evening, 9 – 11pm (free entrance!):
“A Pioneer in the World Music Community | Grammy nominated Jai Uttal (2002 Mondo Rama) is a pioneer in the world music community with his eclectic “East-meets-West” sound. Uttal’s album Queen of Hearts (Nutone Records) is a unique mixture of reggae, ska, and samba rhythms, used as a backdrop for call and response, dance-oriented Kirtan.”
