In a week my dear Jivamukti teachers are coming to Barcelona. As one of them said, this will be a “majour love reunion”. All I can think about is their arrival, the privilege of spending time in their presence, receiving the precious knowledge of Truth and being in yoga together.
Yoga journey is a path to and with your teachers, as without them yoga remains without its soul. Barcelona Yoga conference was the event that revealed to me the that there are men and women who are so dedicated to their beloved practice, that transmitting it to others can be so natural and effortless. Immersed and experienced in yoga, their mere presence is uplifting.
Yet we must turn to ourselves first and see if we have the necessary qualities for being receptive to the Truth or to be able to discern where the Truth does not reside.
Humbleness, openness, deep respect, surrender, trust, acceptance is needed for that seed of Truth to take place in our minds and grow. Good teachers like sunshine will feed those seeds and give them proper nourishment, watching them grow like a child.
What makes great teachers is their ability to walk the talk and really bring yoga and yamas and niyamas into their daily lives. You can feel it in the way they speak, treat others, in their diet, in small details which makes them more.. yogis.
..and that truly inspires.
Can’t wait to find more inspiration at BYC
