Time passes quickly and only a few months separates us from BYC. Five days of yoga, healing therapies, kirtan, philosophy and many more in one of the most beautiful cities, Barcelona!
Some of you might have already purchased the magic ticket or you’re about to, but here I would like to point out the following. By getting your tickets not only obviously participate in this yogic celebration but you also contribute to the solidarity project of BYC.
How? 3% of each entry is donated to Amma Embracing the World, a global network that has been initiated by the humanitarian and spiritual leader Amma (Sri Mata Amritanandamayi Devi). Currently active in more than 40 countries around the world, the organization exists to help alleviate the burden of the world’s poor by covering each of their five basic needs — food, shelter, education, healthcare and livelihood.
Amma or Mother is known throughout the world for her selfless love and compassion toward all beings. As Prof. Muhammad Yunus, 2006 Nobel Peace Prize Winner said “Amma has done more work than many governments have ever done for their people… her contribution is enormous”. Now each one of us can form part of it!
One more great way to support is the “CO2 Compensation project” by Green Yoga Association – Spiritual activism for the planet. An organization which aims to help in the ecological crisis our planet is going through.
Green Yoga Association and the BYC join efforts to make the BYC a sustainable celebration. The project is to compensate fully our carbon emissions by planting trees and creating a forest in the Brazilian Amazon.
When you register for BYC you have the option of planting a tree. The cost for planting 1 tree is 1€ and an example can be:
Coming from San Fransico Athens Paris Zaragoza Girona Barcelona Sants |
Coming by Plane Plane Car Bus Train Bike |
Plant 30 Trees 15 Trees 10 Trees 5 Trees 2 Trees You are green |
Mindful celebrating the joy of yoga we can all offer our contribution to the world. We can all plant the seeds of what we want to see in ourselves and on this planet!
Love.
